Our Committees

We are committed to collaborating with well-known personalities to further develop and optimise hajoona’s processes.

Scientific Advisory Board

hajoona is committed to the continuous development and optimisation of products, processes and systems. For this reason, we decided to set up a scientific advisory board. We are proud and honoured that well-known research and teaching personalities, as well as experts from the business world, have agreed to actively support hajoona in an advisory capacity. For example, our cooperation with Prof. Thomas Rausch and the Chinese visiting professor, Professor Zhigang An, both of the Centre for Organismal Studies (‪COS) at the ‪University of ‪Heidelberg and ‪experts in the ‪molecular physiology of ‪plants, will secure ‪progress and innovative ‪product development for many years to come.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪The focus of this cooperation is to investigate the effect of ‪secondary plant substances‪ on the human body, which will make use of our access to Chinese research in this field, as well as findings on plant substances in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM‪).‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪Prof.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪Michael Wink has worked as Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Heidelberg since 1989.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪He is a director at the Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology in the Biology department.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪From 1990 to 2002 he was Dean/Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; from 1999 to 2005 as well as from 2012 to the present day he was/is Founding Dean of Molecular Biotechnology; from 2005 to 2007, he was Vice Dean for Research in the Faculty of Life Sciences.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪His field of research is pharmaceutical biology with the associated research areas of phytochemistry, chemical ecology, molecular and cell biology, molecular pharmacology and phytotherapy, evolutionary biology and systematics phylogeography.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪This makes him a perfect match for our scientific advisory board.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪Christiane Milders works in a variety of responsible positions as a member of the Lidl Schwarz Group’s executive board.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪Mark Milders has many years of experience in the international banking industry, has held many senior positions, and currently works for ING.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪Both are available to us with their international expertise in all matters relating to finance.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪Thanks to this high-calibre team of consultants, we are confident that we will continue to develop our company in the best possible way in the future.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

We also want to learn from talent within our own ranks, which is why, early on in the company’s development, we put together a so-called leaderboard compiled from representatives of our own sales department. This enables market experiences to be relayed directly back to the company management, while products, processes and systems are continuously optimised from a sales perspective. Among other things, it ensures that sales are managed in accordance with our corporate philosophy, and is taken into account when dealing with strategic issues. The leaderboard is usually elected for 2 years and currently consists of eight people plus company management.

Ethics Council

We launched this new body at the management workshop in early May 2018. Living our values is part of hajoona’s corporate philosophy. Maintaining these values when dealing with each other is particularly important to us. For this reason, together with our managers we have chosen an ethics council. The council provides the hajoona management team with advice and ensures that the philosophy we have developed together is brought to life and implemented. We are really looking forward to working with you!

from left to right Alexandra Koblmüller-Greinecker, Birgit Jakob and Herta Frank

The hajoona Ethics Council is very familiar with the sensitive issues that our sales business entails.
